This page, together with the Terms of Use , describes how we collect and use your personal data for the Harmonised Environmental Storage and Tracking of the Impacts of Agriculture ( HESTIA ) platform.
If you register to upload data, we collect your first name, last name, email address, institution, and ORCiD ID with associated information, and link that to the data you upload.
If you access data, we collect a log of errors to debug our website including information about the device used to access the website, the IP address, and platform. If you access data via the API, we also store username and password details. We do not use cookies or other tracking software.
We store this data digitally on cloud hosted secure servers.
The HESTIA team is the "data controller", which means we decide how to use it and are responsible for looking after it under the GDPR. The HESTIA team consists of the researchers and developers listed on our GitLab page and the Oxford Martin School website . We do not share your data with third parties.
We will only retain your data for as long as we need it to fulfil our purposes, including any relating to legal or reporting requirements.
