Palm, heart
The white vegetable obtained from the inner core and growing bud of any or multiple palm trees. The main sources of palm hearts are the coconut (Cocos nucifera), juçara (Euterpe edulis), açaí (Euterpe oleracea), palmetto (Sabal spp.), and peach palm (Bactris gasipaes).
