Nitrogen uptake (edible part and above ground crop residue)

The total amount of nitrogen taken up by the above ground crop (edible part and above ground residue). If nitrogen uptake is added using an array, each value in the array should express the change in uptake, so that by summing the array, the total equals total nitrogen uptake.
