The edible aromatic leaf of the lime tree. This term can be used to describe the leaf of different species and cultivars, including the Persian lime (Citrus x latifolia), the Makrut or Kaffir lime (Citrus hystrix) and the Key lime (Citrus x aurantiifolia).
