Citron, fruit
The edible fruit of the citron tree, whose thick white rind (the "albedo") is commonly candied in sugar and sold as "succade". This term can be used to describe the fruit of different cultivars, including the sweet "Moroccan citron" and the pulpless, fingered citron known as "Buddha's hand". To further specify the cultivar, use the [variety](/schema/Product#variety) field.
