Cinnamon, bark
The phloem ("inner bark" or bast) of the cinnammon tree, from which the spice known as "cinnammon" is obtained. This term can be used to describe the bark of different species, including the "true" cinnammon (Cinnammomum verum), the Chinese cinnammon (Cinnammomum cassia) and Indonesian cinnammon (Cinnamomum burmannii).
